Schools Welcome Refugees is a group that formed to support other school communities sponsor refugee families. The process involves raising funds, putting together an application and providing settlement assistance on arrival.

 

This website was created to provide support and be a place of exchange for schools communities interested in sponsoring refugee families. If your school is interested in - or already - doing so, please take a minute to let us know. We believe 1000 schools across Canada could commit to sponsoring refugee families, much like church communities did in the 1970s and 1980s, and are doing today. There are tools and resources available on this website.  Please share freely with your school community.
