JOIN THE 1000 SCHOOLS CHALLENGE

The Dewson School Community Refugees Welcome has challenged schools all across Canada to join us in sponsoring refugees. We believe 1000 schools across Canada could commit to sponsoring refugee families much like church communities did in the 1970s and 1980s, and are doing today We’ve created a sister organization Schools Welcome Refugees to assist other schools. There are tools and resources available on the Schools Welcome Refugees website to inspire, encourage, and assist other school communities to join the challenge.

We need to reach out to as many school communities as possible. Share the Schools Welcome Refugees website with families you know at other schools. Across the city or across the county, they can get involved. Let them know that your school is doing it and theirs can too.
